Mr. Akash Kakade is the Founding Managing Partner of Asal Legal Solution LLP, a dynamic and rapidly expanding law firm established in 2011. Under his visionary leadership and hands-on guidance, the Firm has earned a formidable reputation for its strategic, research-driven approach to high-stakes litigation and advisory services, particularly at the Supreme Court of India. A practicing lawyer enrolled with the Bar Council of India and the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa, Mr. Kakade excels in Constitutional Law, Corporate Law, Criminal Law, Land Acquisition, Human Rights Law, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). His persuasive advocacy and meticulous research-oriented approach have led to several reported Constitution Bench Judgments and a series of landmark decisions at the Supreme Court, significantly shaping Indian jurisprudence. Recognised for his adept handling of complex constitutional and commercial disputes, Mr. Kakade has been instrumental in landmark judgments, including multiple Constitution Bench decisions at the Supreme Court. He is an esteemed member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the International Bar Association, and the Supreme Court Bar Association, and serves as Alumni Ambassador and Mentor for Queen Mary University of London, where he earned his LL.M. in Commercial and Corporate Law. Mr. Kakade extensively practices in the areas of Constitutional Law, Commercial Litigation, International Commercial Arbitration, Intellectual Property, Corporate Advisory, Land Acquisition, Human Rights Law, and Alternative Dispute Resolution. He has participated in and assisted with several international arbitration proceedings, advising on matters involving cross-border transactions, energy sectors, and infrastructure projects. In the course of representing clients before the Supreme Court and subordinate courts, Mr. Kakade regularly addresses intricate issues related to reservations, insolvency, admiralty laws, money laundering, land scams, elections, copyrights, and pensions. He provides comprehensive legal counsel to a global clientele, including corporations from India, Indonesia, Qatar, Singapore, Dubai, and beyond, on empanelment for entities such as state governments, universities, airlines, and energy firms. He has advised on structuring international commercial deals, pre-arbitral interim reliefs, and compliance with Indian laws for foreign investments, while maintaining a positive, team-oriented approach to managing high-profile cases.
